Garbage pick-up is twice each week and recyclable materials picked up once each alternate week. Garbage is charged anytime water is on. All yard trash will need to be containerized. It can be placed in garbage cans, plastic bags or bundled. Bundled limbs must be no more than 6” in diameter, 4’ in length, and weigh no more than 60 lbs. Call 780-0022 for more information. BASE RATE: IN CITY WB WATER - $2.98 per month, per lot (or unit) SB SEWER - $10.31 per month, per lot (or unit) OUT OF CITY WB WATER - $3.80 per month, per lot (or unit) SB SEWER - $14.35 per month, per lot (or unit) TURN ON: $40.00 In City $25.00 Out of City (Signature Required) 8:30 am and TURN OFF: $25.00 In City $10.00 Out of City (Signature Required) 3:30 pm DELINQUENT: $45.00 fee to all accounts not paid in full within 30 days of the mailing of billing statement. LATE FEES: In addition to any monies due, any bill which remains unpaid twenty-one (21) days after the billing date will be charged with a $4.00 late fee. BAD CHECK A charge of $25.00 will be assessed for any checks returned. After two (2) returned checks, the customer will be required to pay all bills by cash or money CHARGES: order. LOCK FEE: $25.00 will be billed to the name on the account for cutting a lock. CURB STOP: $50.00 will be billed to the name on the account for cutting a curb stop. DEPOSIT: Where only water service is available - $60.00 All others, except commercial - $120.00 Seasonal customers may leave their deposit on file (DOF) when they leave. The deposit is applied against the final bill when service is terminated. NOTE: The deposit rates charged shall apply to any new user. However, if a user previously had service terminated for non-payment or had a history of delinquencies, the City may require that user to conform to the deposit rates established when reconnecting, transferring service or applying for new service. ADVANCE The City does allow customers to make advance payments to cover their account. PAYMENTS: Payments can be made by cash, check or money orders only. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: Can I get my water disconnected for non-payment? A: Yes, if the bill is not paid in full within thirty-one days, you will be disconnected for non-payment. To reinstate you must pay the past due bill in full and a delinquent fee by 4:30 Monday thru Friday. Q: Can I leave my deposit on file? A: When you discontinue service, we take the final bill out of the deposit and send the refund to you. Q: How do I turn water off? A: Service can be discontinued either by written request, in person, Fax 813-780-0017 or E-Mail billing@ci.zephyrhills.fl.us The information we need is: Name on account Account number Forwarding address Date of turn off Q: What can I do if my customer hand valve in the meter box will not turn or leaks? A: The City will replace broken hand valves with a work order from Customer service. Q: Where can I pay my bill? A: At the counter in customer service, in the drop box at the Q: What happens if I do not pay my final utility bill when I turn my water off? A: You have 30 days to pay the final bill, if it is not paid, the city will send your final bill to a collection agency. Q: What will happen if I get my water locked off and I cut the lock? A: You will be charged $25.00. Also if the City deems it necessary to take more stringent action it may take 24 working Hours to get the water reinstated. |
