Oakside Cemetery, owned and maintained by the City of Zephyrhills, was deeded to the Oakside Cemetery Association in 1911. Later, the association passed the property to the city. This cemetery is the burying ground of veterans of six wars in which the United States of America has been involved: the Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
With approximately 2,500 burial plots, cremains section and mausoleum, Oakside serves as the resting place for hundreds of the community’s deceased residents and many prominent and historic family members.
