Kenneth V. Compton  Kenneth V. Compton was elected to the City Council for the City of Zephyrhills on April 11, 2006.  Mr. Compton is married to Cathi Compton and they have three children.  He and his family have resided in Zephyrhills since 1993.

Mr. Compton received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his Master in Business Administration from Florida Southern College.  He earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Stetson University College of Law.

Mr. Compton has been active in a variety of civic organizations.  His memberships have included:  Board of Directors, Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors, Daybreak Rotary; Economic Development Committee, City of Zephyrhills; Charter Revision Committee, City of Zephyrhills; Graduate of the City of Zephyrhills Government 101 Course; and Graduate of Leadership Pasco.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Faye J. "Jodi" Wilkeson  Faye J. "Jodi" Wilkeson, Zephyrhills, was sworn into office for City of Zephyrhills Council Seat Two on April 14, 2008.  She was elected by over 50% of the voters of our community.  Wilkeson is President and Founder of WDA Design Group, Incorporated, an architecture and interior design firm located on East Fletcher Avenue in Tampa, Florida.  Jodi attended the University of Florida, as well as the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she received her Bachelor of Architecture (a five-year professional degree) in 1988.  Jodi has resided in Zephyrhills for over sixteen years, with her husband Robert Spengler.  Their two sons, ages 9 and 17, attend East Pasco County Public Schools.

 

Manny Funes  Manny Funes was born and raised in Hawaii, but became a Floridian in 1965 when he was stationed at Homestead Air Force Base. He moved to East Pasco in November of 1982 and has resided in the City of Zephyrhills since December of 2005. He has a bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Thomas University in South Florida and has more than 20 years of Law Enforcement experience, starting as a Police Officer in Miami, then as a Special Agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and finishing his career as Captain/Special Projects Director with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

After retiring from the Sheriff's Office, he became the Criminal Justice Teacher at Zephyrhills High School for four years. He was very involved in Sports Announcing, the Great American Teach-in, School Fundraising, ABC Program and creating the Recognition Luncheon for the Teacher and SRP of the Year for the Schools in Zephyrhills. Manny has a passion for helping children and has been instrumental through Rotary in helping raise thousands of dollars for young people in Zephyrhills. The Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce has recognized him as a Leader for Youth of the Year and also Volunteer of the Year. In 2006, Funes was recognized for his civic contributions to the Zephyrhills area schools by the District School Board of Pasco County.

Funes is a Realtor and small businessman, who has been very active with the East Pasco Association of Realtors. He held a number of positions with EPAR that included President in 2008 and was recognized as Realtor of the Year in 2003.

Funes is a Christian, married to Yvonne since 1982, has two adult children, is college educated and is an Air Force Veteran. He has been a Rotarian since 1994, Club President in 2005 that won Club of the Year, and has been Zephyrhills Daybreak Rotarina of the Year three times.

 

Lance Smith  Lance A. Smith was sworn into the Zephyrhills City Council in April of 2009, his second time serving on the city council.  Smith attended high school in Zephyrhills and then obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a minor in Real Estate from the University of Florida (GO GATORS!) in 1986.
 
Smith is a lifelong resident of Zephyrhills and his family has lived in the Zephyrhills area since the early 1800's.  Smith has a wife Tammy, who graduated from USF with a nursing degree, and three children, Chelsea (17), Amanda (15) and Jacob (6).  All of Smith's children attend public school in Zephyrhills.

Lance currently holds an active real estate brokers license and in 2003 he became a licensed contractor and formed a construction company. Smith has managed the development of over 400 lots, constructed over 50 residential units, and built over 25,000 s.f. of commercial space in the Zephyrhills area.  Smith is currently self-employed and works in real estate development, construction and sales.   Smith understands the many challenges facing small business owners.
 
Smith is active and has served on many different community boards and civic organizations, some of which include: Zephyrhills City Council, Zephyrhills Planning Commission, Zephyrhills Board of Adjustment, Pasco County Planning Commission, Pasco County Metro Planning Commission, Economic Development Committee, First Baptist Church Finance Committee, Kiwanis Club (past pres.), East Pasco YMCA (past president), Zephyrhills Main Street (past president), Stewart Middle School Advisory Committee (past chair) and the Zephyrhills Youth Soccer League, Club Soccer Coach (12 yrs), JV Coach Girls Soccer (4 yrs).
