The City of Pure Water is a recreational haven with many state parks and recreation facilities nearby. The City is home to an international known sky diving operation, a 2000 acre industrial area serviced by a municipal airport and CSX rail, a thriving medical sector, and superior retail sector for a small city. The City’s downtown is home to small homegrown businesses and monthly festivals and events.

Economic Development efforts for the community are focused in the following areas:

Zephyrhills Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA)

The CRA is responsible for economic development within the City’s urban core. The CRA provides grants for new business and façade improvement grants for CRA buildings. The CRA can also purchase property for redevelopment purposes or partner with developers to encourage the development of properties. Economic Development is a community wide effort with many different entities and individuals responsible for portions of the community economic development effort.

City of Zephyrhills

The City of Zephyrhills is committed to Economic Development. The City Manager’s office and the City Planning Department (link to Planning Department) are responsible for economic development at the City of Zephyrhills. The City is the entity primarily responsible for creating the conditions necessary for economic development to occur. The City administers economic development incentives, administers the Community Redevelopment Plan and related grants, streamlines codes and regulations to insure a hassle free experience for customers, helps engage the community in economic development and planning efforts, directs City infrastructure investment, provides data (demographics, maps) needed for private sector development, develops long range plans to encourage quality development,  and administers the City’s land development code to insure quality development.
