The mission of the Zephyrhills Police Department is to ensure the safety and protection of both the property and person of all of the citizens of our community and to regulate and control the flow of traffic in order to facilitate the movement of persons and goods within our city and to reduce the impact of crime on the inhabitants of our city through investigation, apprehension, and adjudication of all persons involved in criminal offenses.
The Police Department is organized into two divisions, the Operations Division and the Administrative Services Division.
The Operations Division is comprised of the Uniform Patrol Section, Criminal Investigation Section, Reserve Unit, School Resource Officers Unit, Police Canine Unit, Bike Team, and Honor Guard.
The Administrative Services Division is comprised of the Records Section, Communications Section, Property & Evidence Section, Community Services, Building Maintenance, Background Investigations, and Training.
Professional Standards falls under the direction of the Chief of Police.
