The Community Service Division is responsible for crime prevention through citizen awareness, education, and public participation. Community Service personnel also promote and develop standards for the better understanding and unity between Law Enforcement and the community.  The Community Services Division is staffed by one full time Community Service Officer and ten volunteer crime prevention assistants.

Nixle -  The Zephyrhills Police Department has added the new Nixle messaging system to allow Zephyrhills residents the ability to receive text or email alerts about missing persons, traffic accidents, and community events.  This is a secure network for law enforcement agencies (over 1000 agencies have signed up since the recent inception of the messaging system) and Zephyrhills PD is proud to take this positive step towards keeping the public up to date on important alerts and events.
