Commercial Service Information

 

 

Refuse bins [dumpsters] are provided by the city for commercial business customers. The dumpsters are available in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 cubic yard capacity.

 

If you have a commercial business and need dumpster service, please call 780-0015 or submit a letter of request to:

The letter should include your business address, capacity of dumpster required, number of pick-ups required per week, and the date you would like service to begin. A deposit is required of two months of the size of  the container choosen. If the size of the container is changed, the deposit will be adjusted if necessary, if adjusted two month container cost is greater than the current deposit.

 

Guidelines for Prompt Dumpster Service

 

  • The dumpster must be unlocked and gates to enclosures [if applicable] opened not later than 7 a.m. on the day of service. The driver will not be responsible for closing enclosure gates.
  • The dumpster shall be used for garbage and rubbish disposal only. Hazardous materials such as paint, solvents, weed killers, rat poison, drain cleaners, antifreeze, tires, batteries cannot be placed in dumpsters.
  • Special pick-up items such as construction material, furniture  should not be placed in dumpster.
  • Dumpsters should not be filled above the lids. Additional charges may apply if overloaded.

      

         

COMMMERCIAL GARBAGE RATES


  

 Deposit:        Where only water or sewer is available - $45.00

                                Individually metered small commercial units - $85.00

Large commercial users of water or sewer shall pay a deposit equaling an average charge or charges of a similar use for two (2) month     period of time.

 

Note:      The deposit rates charged shall apply to any new user. However, if a  user has previously had service terminated for non-payment of had a history of delinquencies, the City may require that user to conform to the deposit rates established when reconnecting, transferring service, or applying for new service.

 

  Can Pickup $10.70 per month, per business unit as of 01OCT2007

- For commercial premises where the waste is collected curbside in individual containers.

 

 Dumpster   -For commercial premises served by Refuse Bins, the rate shall be the

 Dumpster            $25.00

 Installation        - For delivering, removing, exchange, or placement of dumpster.

                                                The customer must provide adequate access and a pad. 

 

 Extra Trips         $12.00 per cubic yard times the size of the bin. ADDITIONAL      

                                                Charge for extra trips due to overload dumpster.

 

 Residential         $10.70 per month per additional unit – For any commercial  

 Additions           establishment, one (1) or more living units with kitchens

 

 

 

 * The City may require the use of a dumpster in lieu of cans for other than single family residential use. The number of pickups required by the users, containers size, and frequency for the dumpster shall be determined by the City.   Rates are subject to changes annually in October.
