Administrative Support Section - The Administrative Support Section is administered by the Administrative Captain and is comprised of the Records Unit which is charged with the following: receiving, reviewing, filing and recalling copies of all reports prepared by members of the department; maintain master index files, provide data and support documentation upon request, accident reporting projects, maintaining the department's computerized record keeping programs, report archival and destruction; payroll, purchasing, and various clerical duties as required.

The Property/Evidence Unit falls under the Administrative Support Section as well. The Administrative Captain is the Training Coordinator for the Zephyrhills Police Department.

Communications Section - The Communications Section is administered by the Communication Section Supervisor. This section is assigned the responsibilities of radio communications including the dispatching of police department patrol and investigative personnel; and telephone communications involving receiving and initiating response to all emergency calls and calls for police department service or information. The Communications Officers are professional employees who have direct contact with the citizens of our community.

Crime Prevention Section - The Crime Prevention Supervisor is a non-sworn position and responsible for crime prevention through citizen awareness, education, and public participation. The personnel working and volunteering in the Crime Prevention Section also promote and develop standards for the better understanding and unity between law Enforcement and the community. The Crime Prevention Supervisor serves as Senior Advisor for the Police Explorer Post.

Criminal Investigation Section -The Criminal Invstigation Section is administered by the Administrative Services Captain. This Section is charged with the responsibilty to investigate serious crimes, recover stolen property, prepare and reveiw cases for court and for the State Attorney's Office.
