Uniform Patrol Section
The Uniform Patrol Section is administered by the Operations Lieutenant. This section is comprised of four squads, each being lead by a Patrol Sergeant. The Uniform Patrol Section is charged with the major function of the Police Department; the prevention and suppression of crime and as such, shall have primary responsibility for preserving peace, protecting life and property, and preventing crime. The Uniform Patrol Section shall provide a substantial measure of preliminary investigation in major crimes and enforce laws relating to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, accident investigations, and traffic enforcement activities.
