About the Board
The Historic Preservation Board was established for the purpose of designating and regulating historic, archaeological, cultural and architectural resources in the city, and advising City Council on issues related to historic preservation. The board administers the city's Historic Preservation Program, which includes Historic Facade Grants and the review/issuance of Certificates of Appropriateness for alterations to existing resources, demolition, and new construction in historic districts.
